A warrant has been issued for the arrest of NPP MP Jagath Manuwarna, after he failed to appear before the Fort Magistrate’s Court today (29).
The MP was due to attend hearings for two separate cases dating back to 2008 that are pending before the court.
Instead of presenting himself for the court proceedings, it was reported that MP Manuwarna had instead attended a land distribution program at a different location. Citing his non-appearance in relation to the long-pending cases, the Fort Magistrate’s Court issued the warrant for his immediate arrest.
