Pavan Rathnayake has been drafted into Sri Lanka’s squad for the upcoming T20I tri-series in Pakistan, according to sources.

He was included after several members of the squad reportedly fell ill, prompting team management to strengthen the side ahead of the series.

Rathnayake made his ODI debut yesterday in the third and final match of Sri Lanka’s ODI series against Pakistan.

Pakistan is hosting Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe for the T20 tri-series in Rawalpindi.
