A total of 31 deaths have been reported due to adverse weather conditions between 17 and 27 November, according to the Disaster Management Centre.
The Centre said 14 persons have been reported missing, while 10 others have sustained injuries.
Senior geologist Laksiri Indrathilaka of the National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) said rainfall exceeding 500 mm was recorded in areas surrounding the Nuwara Eliya, Badulla, Matale and Kandy districts during this period.
He said around 200 incidents have been reported across 14 districts identified as high-risk for landslides.
