The Office of the Commissioner General of Essential Services (CGES) has introduced a dedicated hotline — 1904 — for the public to swiftly report complaints or difficulties related to essential services nationwide.

Members of the public are encouraged to use 1904 to report issues concerning:

  • Electricity supply
  • Fuel distribution
  • Hospital and emergency medical services
  • Public transport and logistics
  • Water supply and sanitation
  • Food and other essential commodities
  • Telecommunications and ICT services
  • Irrigation and other essential public services declared under Gazette Extraordinary No. 2464/29

According to the CGES, the new hotline aims to ensure faster response times, improved coordination, and efficient resolution of complaints during emergencies or service disruptions.

All calls to 1904 will be handled at the CGES Operations Centre, where complaints will be verified, prioritised, and forwarded to the relevant response teams for action.

The CGES has urged the public to use the hotline responsibly and provide accurate information to support swift problem-solving.
