A total of 50,222 tourists have arrived in Sri Lanka so far this month, according to the latest data issued by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA).
Of this number, 10,453 visitors — or 21 percent — have travelled from India. Arrivals also include 5,420 tourists from Russia, 4,822 from Germany, 3,823 from the United Kingdom and 2,627 from France.
The SLTDA further reported that total tourist arrivals for 2025 have now reached 2,153,815 following the release of the December figures. India remains the largest source market with 485,249 visitors, followed by the United Kingdom with 195,565 arrivals, Russia with 164,013, Germany with 136,081, China with 124,298 and France with 103,307.
