Three Hospitalised Following Head-On Crash Involving Asoka Ranwala

Former Speaker Asoka Ranwala and three others were injured and hospitalised today following a traffic accident in Sapugaskanda.

The incident occurred in Mavaramandiya, Benimulla, when a jeep driven by Ranwala collided head-on with a car.

Police Media Spokesperson SSP F.U. Wootler confirmed that four individuals including Ranwala sustained injuries in the crash. A six-month-old infant, and two women have been hospitalised following the accident.

According to the police spokesperson, Ranwala has been admitted to Ragama Hospital for treatment. The infant was transferred to the Lady RidgewayChildren’s Hospital, while the driver of the car and her mother were admitted to Kiribathgoda Hospital.
