Former Speaker of Parliament and MP Asoka Ranwala was arrested following a traffic collision in the Sapugaskanda area yesterday (11), according to the Police Media Spokesperson.

​Meanwhile, State-owned Dinamina newspaer reported that Police confirmed medical tests conducted after the incident proved the MP was not under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.
