Taking into account the controversy that has emerged, the Academic Advisory Board of the National Institute of Education (NIE) has approved the removal of the relevant lesson included in the Grade 6 English module.

Prime Minister and Education Minister Harini Amarasuriya told Parliament today (7) that approval for the move was granted yesterday (6).
