Viral Video: Motorcyclist Arrested for Vandalising Vehicles in Battaramulla

An individual has been arrested for damaging several vehicles using a sharp object while riding a motorcycle in Battaramulla.

A video circulating widely on social media shows a motorcyclist vandalising vehicles near Diyatha Uyana Park, Battaramulla. The incident occurred last evening (12), prompting officers from the Welikada Police Station to immediately launch a search for the suspect.

Police said the motorcyclist was apprehended within a short time of the incident. Approximately four vehicles were damaged.

The suspect, a 29-year-old resident of Ragama, is due to be produced before court today (13).

Further investigations are being conducted by the Welikada Police Station.
