The official ticket launch of the Legends’ Enclosure for the 96th Battle of the Maroons was held on 17 January 2026 at the 80 Club.

The event was attended by several distinguished Old Anandians, including former national cricketers, war heroes, and professionals from various fields.

Among those present were members of the Old Anandian cricketers’ fraternity, including 1979 Ananda College cricket captain Thilan Wijesinghe, former national players Brenden Kuruppu and Charith Senanayake, and the 1992 Ananda College winning team captain Deepal Darmasena, along with Manjula Thenuwara.

Senior military officials in attendance included Lieutenant General Jagath Dias, Major General Jagath Rubanpotha, and Major General Chagie Gallage. The first ticket of the Legends’ Enclosure was ceremonially presented to Major General Gallage by the President of the Legends’ Enclosure Organising Committee, Dewaka de Silva.

This year, the Organising Committee has limited the Legends’ Enclosure to 400 spectators. The three-day match will be played on 27, 28 February, and 1 March 2026 at the Sinhalese Sports Club Grounds, with the one-day encounter scheduled at the same venue as a day–night match.
