A beachside restaurant in Tangalle is facing public backlash after a video circulated online alleging that the establishment refused to serve Sri Lankan customers, claiming it catered exclusively to foreign tourists.

The video was recorded by three Sri Lankans based in the United Kingdom, who said they were turned away solely because they were locals. In the footage, one of them alleges that the refusal was racially motivated, stating that they were denied service because of their skin colour and nationality.

The clip, later shared on social media by Harry Pereira, has sparked widespread criticism, with many users condemning what they describe as discriminatory practices in tourist areas and calling for accountability from authorities.
