‘Commando Salintha’ Further Remanded Over Ganemulla Sanjeewa Murder

The Colombo Magistrate’s Court today ordered the remand of a suspected underworld figure known as ‘Commando Salintha’, who had been in the custody of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

The suspect was produced before Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama under tight security by CID officers.

During the proceedings, CID officials submitted a progress report outlining the ongoing investigations.

Having considered the facts presented, the Magistrate ordered that the suspect be remanded until 12 next month.

‘Commando Salintha’ has been named as a suspect in the murder of Ganemulla Sanjeewa.
