The Mahara Magistrate’s Court has issued a warrant for the arrest of National People’s Power (NPP) Member of Parliament Asoka Ranwala after he failed to appear before court in connection with a road accident case.

The order was issued when the case related to a road accident that occurred in Sapugaskanda was taken up before court and Ranwala was absent.

Accordingly, Additional Magistrate Bandara Ilangasinghe directed that a warrant be issued for the arrest of Ranwala.
