Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa today (20) said that the Government could have anticipated a potential war situation in the Middle East from 2025.

Speaking in Parliament, Premadasa said that Israel first attacked Iran in June 2025.

“The Government should not tell us now that they are preparing strategies. This could have been predicted since June 2025, when Israel and the US bombed Iran. You could have anticipated that there could be a war situation,” he stressed.
