The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) has launched a centralised electronic system for the submission of assets and liabilities declarations, marking a key step in digitising Sri Lanka’s anti-corruption framework.

The platform, introduced in line with the Anti-Corruption Act No. 9 of 2023, was officially inaugurated on 30 March at the Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies auditorium within the BMICH premises. The system has been opened to all required declarants from the same date.

Under the new framework, all categories of public officials mandated by law to declare assets and liabilities are required to submit their declarations exclusively through the electronic platform.

CIABOC stated that the system will be managed and regulated by the Commission as part of its statutory mandate to strengthen transparency, accountability, and oversight.

The introduction of the centralised platform is expected to streamline the monitoring of financial disclosures, improve compliance, and enhance the efficiency of enforcement mechanisms under the new anti-corruption law.
