High Court Freezes Bank Accounts and Properties of Keheliya Rambukwella

The Western Provincial High Court announced, through a newspaper notice, that the bank accounts and properties of former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella will be frozen.

According to the notice, the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) has frozen 18 bank accounts and five life insurance accounts linked to Rambukwella. Additionally, assets such as an apartment in Colombo 05 and a Mercedes-Benz car have been frozen.

The freezing order also extends to several bank accounts and assets belonging to Rambukwella’s family members.

The Bribery Commission confirmed that the freezing of these properties will be in effect from 23 December 2024 to 3 January 2025.
