Railways Introduces New Rules for Reserved Tickets and Refunds

The Department of Railways has announced new regulations regarding reserved train seat tickets and refunds.

Passengers must now provide their National Identity Card number or passport number when booking seats. These details will be verified at railway stations and during onboard ticket checks.

From 1 January, passengers seeking refunds for reserved seats must submit a copy of their National Identity Card or passport to confirm their identity as the ticket holder.
