BNI Sri Lanka National Conference 2026 Celebrates Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Business Excellence.
More than 300 BNI members from across Sri Lanka and the global BNI network gathered at Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo for the BNI Sri Lanka National Conference 2026, BNI Sri Lanka’s flagship annual event celebrating entrepreneurship, learning and business excellence.
The conference featured keynote addresses by Otara Gunewardene, Founder of Odel and Embark, and Rajendran Dandapani, Director of Zoho Corporation and President of Zoho Schools of Learning, India.
Drawing from her entrepreneurial journey, Otara shared how she built Odel into one of Sri Lanka’s most recognised retail brands before successfully reinventing herself with Embark, inspiring members with the importance of resilience, purpose and continuous innovation.
Rajendran Dandapani delivered an insightful session on AI Optimisation, introducing his ABC Framework—knowing when to Accelerate, Brake and Control the use of Artificial Intelligence to maximise business value while maintaining human judgement.
The conference also recognised outstanding achievements within the BNI community with awards presented for Best Chapter, Lifetime Gold Club achievers, Highest Referrals Passed, and several other individual and chapter accomplishments.
The event was attended by Hemu Suvarna, National Director of BNI Sri Lanka, together with Mathushangar Yogendran, Regional Director, Glenn Lord, Executive Director, Arunthathi Theagaraja, Executive Director, and Santhosh Radhakrishnan, District Director.
Organised by a volunteer committee led by Pravinth Deepan, the conference once again reinforced BNI’s commitment to helping entrepreneurs grow through trusted relationships, collaboration and the philosophy of Givers Gain®.
