Five suspects have been arrested yesterday in connection with the alleged sexual assault of an underage girl, police said.
According to the police, the suspects, aged between 16 and 18, were arrested in the Kantale.
The victim, a 15-year-old girl, had been attending a festival in Kantale when the incident took place.
Police officers on patrol noticed a group of individuals behaving suspiciously inside a bus parked at a nearby car park and moved in to inspect the vehicle.
Upon inspection, police found the girl inside the bus with three young men.
Police subsequently questioned the group, during which it was revealed that prior to entering the bus, the girl’s alleged boyfriend and another individual had sexually assaulted her in a nearby forested area.
