Former Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) MP Tissa Kuttiarachchi failed to appear before the Illegal Assets Investigation Division yesterday (8), despite being summoned to record a statement in connection with an investigation, police sources said.
A senior police officer said Kuttiarachchi had been summoned over an investigation into an alleged irregularity at Uva Capital Bank, Dinamina newspaper reported.
The officer said he would be summoned again on another date. Legal action would be taken if he continued to evade providing a statement, the officer added.
