The government-opened brown sugar outlet has generated revenue of Rs. 12.9 million, Industries Minister Sunil Handunnetti said.
Speaking on the “Derana 360” programme, the Minister said the outlet earned Rs. 1.2 million in January, Rs. 1.6 million in February, Rs. 2.9 million in March, Rs. 1.1 million in April, Rs. 2.1 million in May, Rs. 1.5 million in June and Rs. 2.5 million in July.
After accounting for all income and expenditure, the outlet recorded a net profit of Rs. 3 million, he added.
