Two Children Killed in Grenade Attack on Dehiwala Home

Two boys were killed after an unidentified person threw a hand grenade at a house on Sirisagabo Mawatha in Dehiwala early today (11).

Police said a man and the two boys, who sustained serious injuries in the attack, were admitted to Kalubowila Hospital, where the two boys later died.

The deceased were two boys aged 11 and 17, both residents of Dehiwala.

The other person injured in the attack is their 55-year-old father.

The bodies of the two boys have been placed at the mortuary of Kalubowila Hospital.

No information has yet been uncovered regarding the motive for the attack or the suspects involved. Dehiwala Police are conducting further investigations to arrest the suspects.
