The Sinhala Literature question paper for the Grade 11 term test in the North Central Province (NCP) has been leaked on social media, prompting swift action from authorities.

North Central Province Education Secretary Sirimevan Dharmasena confirmed that the final term test, originally scheduled for today (6 January), has been postponed. The distribution of the leaked question paper was halted this morning, affecting over 600 schools across 30 educational divisions in eight zones.

Dharmasena announced that the examination process would be temporarily suspended. A new question paper will be prepared and distributed to ensure the integrity of the exams.

This incident occurs against the backdrop of repeated statements by Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya, highlighting how students and parents are losing trust in state examinations.
