Former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s private secretary, Sugeeshwara Bandara, has been further remanded until 7 October after being produced before the Colombo Magistrate’s Court.
Bandara is accused of receiving two salaries under the President’s expenditure head while serving as a secretary to Rajapaksa in 2022 and simultaneously working as a Project Director at the Presidential Secretariat during former President Ranil Wickremesinghe’s tenure.
