A special public communication programme titled “Ask Handun” (#AskHandun) has been launched to allow members of the public and entrepreneurs to directly raise problems, proposals and requests for clarification relating to services under the Ministry of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development.

Industry and Entrepreneurship Development Minister Sunil Handunnetti announced the initiative through his official social media account.

Under the programme, the public can send questions, complaints or proposals relating to matters coming under the Ministry’s purview directly to the Minister through a WhatsApp voice message to 077 554 1646.

The Minister said official responses to submissions would be published on his official Facebook page, taking into account their national importance and priority.

The initiative is aimed at reducing bureaucratic barriers in the public service and establishing a more direct channel between industrialists, the general public and policymakers.
