Police are reportedly expected to seek a travel ban against Shiranthi Rajapaksa, wife of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, if she fails to appear before the Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) within the stipulated period.

Rajapaksa, who is in Singapore for medical treatment, has reportedly been given 14 days to provide a statement to the FCID in connection with the Siriliya Foundation.

According to the reports, she could also face arrest upon arrival at an airport in Sri Lanka, depending on the court order issued following the request.
