Emirates, one of the two flag carriers of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has announced that it will officially become the world’s first ‘Autism Certified Airline’.

The initiative aims to make travel more accessible for all, allowing customers with autism and sensory sensitivities to experience seamless service and personalized hospitality.

The inaugural designation will be formally awarded by the International Accreditation and Continuing Education Standards Board in the coming months.

More than 30,000 Emirates cabin crew and ground crew are undergoing basic training for this.

Emirates plans to introduce new standards and services that will improve the ground and in-flight experience for customers on the autism spectrum and their families and companions, according to an announcement to be made later this year.
