A social media blunder occurred today on President Anura Kumara Dissanayake’s official Tamil Facebook page when a post intended for another page, handled by his media team briefly appeared on his.

The post, which discussed recent revelations by Minister Nalinda Jayatissa in Parliament about compensation amounts received by MPs whose homes were damaged in the 9 May 2022 riots, specifically highlighted the compensation amount given to MP Seetha Arambepola.

The post was quickly removed, but not before it was shared widely across social media.
