Cricket Australia (CA) has named Todd Greenberg as their next Chief Executive Officer, as he is all set to succeed the very successful Nick Hockley, who announced his resignation from this position earlier this year.

Greenberg, who is currently serving as the CEO of the Australian Cricketers’ Association, will officially assume the role in March 2025, following the conclusion of the ongoing cricket season. He brings a wealth of experience to the position, both as a former cricketer and a seasoned sports administrator.

Todd Greenberg had played for Randwick CC in Sydney, where he delivered praiseworthy performances as a top-order batter between 1987 and 1997 before transitioning into sports administration, managing the Mike Whitney School of Cricket while earning a degree in sports science from the University of NSW.

On the other hand, Nick Hockley took over as the Cricket Australia (CA) CEO in 2020 during a challenging phase for Australian cricket following the ball-tampering scandal in South Africa.

Hockley leaves behind a legacy of great leadership. Cricket Australia witnessed immense success under his tenure, and now Greenberg will have the huge responsibility to carry forward Hockley’s legacy.

However, Greenberg’s experience as the former chief executive of the National Rugby League and then NRL club Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, apart from the Australian Cricketers’ Association role, will help him in the high-profile role as the CEO of the Australian Cricket Board.
