Police have arrested another suspect in connection with the March 17 shooting in the Nagalagam Street area, Grandpass Police Division.

According to police, two individuals on a motorcycle opened fire on two others that night, leaving both victims injured.

Following investigations, the suspect was lured to the crime scene after receiving a call from the victims’ mobile phone. He was arrested yesterday (23 March) by a Grandpass Police team, along with two mobile phones.

The suspect, a 31-year-old resident of Grandpass, is the latest to be taken into custody. Four others—three men and a woman—have already been arrested for aiding and abetting the crime.

Grandpass Police are continuing further investigations.
