Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe is unlikely to be presented before the Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court today (26), as he remains under medical observation at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the National Hospital in Colombo.
Prisons spokesperson said Wickremesinghe, who was transferred from the Prison Hospital to the National Hospital on medical advice, continues to receive treatment and remains under close monitoring.
The former President was remanded until 26 August after being arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) over allegations of misusing state funds.
