21-Year-Old Arrested for Scratching Sigiriya Mirror Wall

A 21-year-old woman has been arrested by Sigiriya Police for scratching a section of the historic Sigiriya mirror wall, causing damage to the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The suspect, a resident of Avissawella, had visited Sigiriya yesterday (14) with a group of companions when the incident occurred. Police said she was taken into custody for allegedly defacing the site and causing harm to its ancient structures.
