All three workers who were trapped under a mound of earth at a construction site in Manikkawa, Mawanella, have died, police confirmed.

The incident occurred earlier today when an earth bund collapsed, burying the workers. Rescue operations were launched immediately to extricate them, but all three were later found dead.

Police said the bodies have been recovered and further investigations are underway.
