The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is expected to question several models and actresses in the coming days regarding their alleged connections with underworld figure Mandinu Padmasiri Perera, alias Kehelbaddara Padme.

According to sources, investigators are examining information suggesting that a number of individuals in the entertainment industry maintained close contact with Padme, who is currently in remand custody.

The questioning follows the recent interrogation of model and actress Piumi Hansamali, who was summoned to the CID on Monday (21) over similar allegations. Hansamali later denied any financial or personal links with Padme, stating that she only met him once at a public event in Dubai.
