Sri Lanka's Business Confidence Index Falls Drastically

Sri Lanka's business confidence has shown a considerable decrease in June 2016, the LMD-Nielson Business Confidence Index (BCI) shows.

The BCI for June 2016 has dropped to 126 from 141 in May 2016.

Over the past 12 months, the average BCI was 155. It was at a historic low of 124 in February 2014. The June 2016 value has almost approach this mark.

The BCI was at a maximum of 204 in September 2015, following the election victory of the UNP in the General Election.
