Sampath Bank Adjudged Best Bank In Sri Lanka

Sampath Bank was feted as the 'Best Bank of Sri Lanka' at the prestigious Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2014, for the second consecutive year.

Awards for Excellence 2014 is awarded by The Euromoney, a UK-based financial magazine, and is a confirmation of Sampath Bank's commitment to its product offering and outstanding customer serviceto meet the growing demand for financial services in Sri Lanka.

The award was received by the Managing Director of Sampath Bank, Aravinda Perera at the awards night held at the Shangri-La Hotel in Hong Kong on July 17, 2014.

The Bank clinched the "Talent Management Award"at the National HRM Conference, presented to organizations demonstrating overall excellence in all spheres of HR and was also adjudged the first runner up overall in the A category, at the Best Corporate Citizen Sustainability Awards 2013, the country's top most Corporate Social Responsibility award organized by The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. Sampath Bank is the only Sri Lankan bank to be awarded the Best Banking Group in Sri Lanka by the prestigious World Finance Magazine and the highly acclaimed "Bank of the Year" award by the "The Banker" of Financial Times Limited in London.

Euromoney's Awards for Excellence cover more than 20 global product categories, best-in-class awards in all regions and the best banks in close to 100 countries around the world, recognizing the top performing financial institutions in leadership, innovation, and momentum in respective countries. An in-depth analysis of quantitative and qualitative data, business transactions, management, credit ratings, efficiency ratios and key annual performance indicators are the basic criteria for the award.
