The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) recently pursued to assist a group of residents in Matara in the wake of torrential rain showers causing floods and leaving many displaced or causing substantial loss of life and property.

The donation was made in the form of household and personal care items, which were identified by the residents as the need of the hour, considering their efforts to rebuild and reestablish their way of life. Over 100 families residing in Matara, who were identified by the CSE Matara Branch benefited from the project. In addition, a donation of footwear for adults and schoolchildren was also made in the area.
