MMBL Pathfinder Group of companies, Sri Lanka was recently awarded the 5S Merit Award for the year 2014, at the Taiki Akimoto 5S Awards Competition for successfully implementing the internationally accepted quality standards. The Taiki Akimoto 5S Awards an annual event organized by the Japan Sri Lanka Technical and Cultural Association (JASTECA) was held in Colombo, recently.

5S is a workplace organizational system which adopts five key strategies to adhere to and achieve maximum output from an organization.  In 2014 the internationally coveted 5 S Certification  awarded to MMBL-Pathfinder Group, highlighted the fact that this was the first time the 5 S Workplace Management System’s international certificate was issued to a Sri Lankan company. 

The certification was done after assessing and registering the company as an entity that is complying with the requirements of international standards, guidelines and practices. The scope of the group included, providing private equity investment business, brand/franchise management, investment banking, accounting, legal, general management & management consulting and project promotion.
