TIIKM Creates Platform To 'Promote Global Health Through Equitable Access To Health System'

The very first International Conference on Public Health organized by The International Institute of Knowledge Management (TIIKM) was held successfully on May 13 and 14 at Galadari Hotel, Colombo.

The Conference had 100+ participants from more than 30 countries. It covered number of interested and relevant research areas related to the public health. The theme of the conference was “Promoting Global Health through equitable access to health system”

The first objective of the conference was to create a platform to discuss about the real meaning of promoting global health together with equitable access to health system.

Conference also provided the opportunity to further debate about concepts, potentials, policies and decisions which can be used to fill the world with the healthiest human beings.

Moreover, the second objective was providing opportunity to researchers, academics and people who are interesting on above public concerns to meet with each other’s, discuss their own views and opinions and guide those discussions and debate toward positive human mind set to eradicate issues in global health through the equitable access to health system.

Prof. Dr. Hematram Yadav, the Head of Community Medicine and Behavioral Sciences Section of International Medical University (IMU) Malaysia held the position of the Conference Chair while Prof. Chia Kee Seng, the Dean and Professor of National University of Singapore and Dr. Chithramalee de Silva, the Deputy Director MCH of  Ministry of Health, Sri Lanka held the positions of key note speakers.

Dr. Sumudu Vipulaguna Rajasinghe, Team Physician & Sports Psychologist Sports Medicine Unit, National Hospital of Sri Lanka attended to the conference as the plenary speaker.
