Sagara Gunawardena has been appointed as a Board Director to the Board of Investments (BOI). 

Gunawardena is a Senior Advisor to Minister Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena, Minister of Investment Promotions. 

The BOI is a body that comes under the purview of the Ministry of Investment Promotions. 

Sagara Gunawardana, an engineer by profession, is  the Managing Director of Venora Group of Companies. He is also a board member of National Construction Association Sri Lanka, board member of Ceylon Institute of Builders Sri Lanka, co-chairman of World Construction Symposium and also a member of European Business Assembly- UK
