Fresh Blood For South Asia

Detlev Janik has been named CEO for Agility's South Asia region. He will be in charge of business in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
 
Janik has joined the service provider after spending more than 30 years in the logistics sector in India and Southeast Asia. Chris Price, CEO, Agility Asia Pacific, declared, "we invested early in the South Asia region in order to develop a significant presence. We are delighted to take Janik on board."
 
Prior to joining the company, Janik was regional director of Dachser in Singapore, where he was responsible for its South Asia and Southeast Asia operations. Earlier on, he also held the post of CEO of Dachser India.
 
Janik first moved to Asia in 1982 and worked for Hermann Ludwig (now Geodis), Footwork Hamacher, ABX Logistics and Hansameyer Freight Forwarders. Janik will be based in Mumbai (India).
