Teen Opens First Sri Lankan Museum Abroad From Sri Lanka In NY

Cultural hot spot New York now can get a taste of Sri Lankan art and culture. This is due to the effort by Julia Wijesinghe, an 18-year-old Notre Dame Academy senior who was born and raised in Queens, New York 

The Sri Lankan Art & Cultural Museum was opened in March 27th 2017 at 668 Bay Street Staten Island NY. It is a Non-profit Organization run by Cultural Heritage of Sri Lanka Inc. .
Her father is the owner of the first Sri Lankan restaurant in New York, which was opened about 30 years ago.
