Living Legend Iranganie Serasinghe Celebrates 90th Birthday

Veteran actress Iranganie Serasinghe who is mostly famed as mother figure of Sinhala Cinema celebrated her birthday on 17th.

Since her debut in feature film Rekava, Serasinghe has achieved an iconic status in Sri Lanka. Sandesaya, Loku Duwa, Awaragira, Deveni Gamana are some of her most memorable silver screen moments. Yashorawaya, Doo Daruwo, Nadayo earned her place in small screen. She contributed her talent to English and Sinhala theatre as well. She also had her presence in international movies such as Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Water.

Serasinghe is not only a talented actor but also a renowned environmental activist. Chirang Jayatu!
