Sinhala Adaptation Of “Twelve Angry Men” To Be Launched As A Book

The Sinhala adaptation of American writer Reginald Rose’s play “Twelve Angry Men” by Athula Pathirana to be launched at the Film Corporation Cinema Hall on 29 October at 2.45 p.m. DVD and publication consisting of the adapted script, production notes and critiques of 'Dholahak' also to be launched during the event. Athula Pathirana's 'Dholahak' play which is based on “Twelve Angry Men” is well received. Speakers for the event are Sunil Wijesiriwardhana and Vidarshana Kannangara. The programme will be conducted by Thumindu Dodantenna.

Twelve Angry Men is a drama written by Reginald Rose play is about twelve jurors trying to reach a unanimous decision on a teenager who is accused of murder. It was broadcast initially as a television play in 1954. Later it was adapted for the stage, and in 1957 was made into a highly successful film. Since then it has been given numerous remakes, adaptations, and tributes.
