The Duchess of Cambridge has been admitted to hospital in London and is in the early stages of labour, said Kensington Palace in a tweet.

 

"The Duchess of Cambridge was admitted at 06.00hrs to St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, London and is in the early stages of labour,'' said the palace.

 

The world's media have been camped outside St Mary's Hospital for days in anticipation of the birth.
