The Bombay High Court on Tuesday allowed actor Salman Khan's plea seeking permission to travel to Dubai to perform at an awards function.

The actor has been allowed to travel from May 27 to 30.

Justice Shalini Phansalkar-Joshi laid down several conditions for the actor. Salman has to submit his detailed travel plans to the police, including his flight date and time, his address in Dubai and contact numbers. He has to inform the Indian consulate in the United Arab Emirates about his arrival in and departure from Dubai.

The actor also has to furnish an additional cash security of Rs. 2 lakh.

The High Court directed the police to hand over the actor's passport to him, which he has to return to the police on his return to India.

As per the High Court's earlier order, Salman, whose passport is in the custody of the Bandra police, has to approach the court every time he wants to travel abroad.

On May 6, a sessions court convicted Salman and sentenced him to five years of rigorous imprisonment on the charge of culpable homicide not amounting to murder.

On May 8, the High Court stayed his sentence and granted him bail till his appeal challenging the trial court's verdict is heard. Final hearing on the appeal will take place in July.
