A new bus halt, constructed near the Dankotuwa Girls’ Colllege, was vested with students and the public on Wednesday (22), morning by Dr. Chandana Abayaratna, the Minister of Public Administration, Provincial Councils & Local Government.

The construction is part of an island-wide project under the “Clean Sri Lanka” (Klīn Śrī Laṁkā) program, which focuses on renovating existing bus halts and building new ones near schools.

Dr. Abayaratna, who also serves as the Chairman of the Puttalam District Coordinating Committee, officially opened the bus halt for use.

Deputy Minister of Environment Anton Jayakody and several other officials also participated in the event.
