Two men have died after reportedly consuming an unidentified liquid that washed ashore in Narakkalliya, Puttalam.

According to police, four individuals were staying at a temporary fishing camp when they found a bottle containing an unknown liquid that had drifted in from the sea. The group had consumed the substance, leading to serious complications.

One man died at the scene, while the remaining three were admitted to the Puttalam Hospital, where another succumbed to his condition.

The other two individuals are currently receiving treatment under medical supervision. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the nature of the liquid and the circumstances surrounding the incident.
