The dog’s owner lodged a complaint with the Akmeemana Police Station on 18 December 2024, stating that her dog was attacked by two individuals on 11 December 2024. The dog succumbed to its injuries as a result of the assault.

In response, officers from the Akmeemana Police Station launched an investigation and arrested the two suspects, along with the three-wheeler seen in the video, on 18 December 2024.

The suspects, aged 34 and 37, are residents of Bataduwa.

The suspects are scheduled to be produced before the Galle Magistrate’s Court today (19 December 2024).
