The Colombo High Court has ordered that the case filed against MP Namal Rajapaksa in connection with the Krrish transaction be taken up on 16 February.
The order was issued today (18) when the case was called before Colombo High Court Judge Nadee Aparna.
The Attorney General has filed the case against Rajapaksa under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, alleging that he obtained Rs. 70 million from the Indian company Krish on the pretext of promoting rugby in Sri Lanka.
The prosecution maintains that the transaction amounted to an offence under the Act.
